Maserati has recalled 524 cars, both GranTurismo coupes and GranCabrio convertibles from model year 2024 because their fuel gauges may not be accurate. That could lead drivers to run out of fuel unexpectedly.
The company tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) it knows of as many as ten incidents worldwide of drivers running out of fuel while the display still indicated a partially full tank.
Dealers will update software to fix the problem. Because these vehicles are not capable of receiving software updates over the air, owners must bring them to the dealership to have the problem corrected.
