Porsche has issued a recall for 279 of their 911 coupes from model year 2023 because a bolt connecting the rear seatbelts can loosen over time, compromising rear seatbelt safety.
Porsche tells federal safety officials at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that some rear seatbelt bolts may not have been tightened to specification at the factory. Over time, vibration from normal driving can cause them to become loose.
Dealers will inspect the rear seatbelts and tighten the bolt to the proper specification if necessary.
