Recall Alert: 2021 Ram 1500 eTorque Hybrid

2021 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock in black in a buildingRam has issued a recall for about 132,000 Ram 1500 pickups from model year 2021 equipped with its eTorque mild-hybrid powertrain because their engines can stall while driving.

The recall covers all 2021 Ram 1500 models powered by the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 eTorque drivetrain. Ram tells federal safety officials that a powertrain control module can cause the truck to use too rich a mixture of fuel and air, causing the engine to stall. A stall while driving can contribute to an accident.

Thankfully, the fix is a simple one. Dealers will update the control software. Recall repairs are always free.
