The latest exercise in possibility thinking from the Chrysler Group’s truck division will have its coming-out party during this weekend’s annual Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit. Ram has yet to release any details on the one-off exercise, including its official name. However, judging from the teaser images, expect this high-profile pickup to be arrayed in bright yellow, feature a dedicated body kit, upgraded wheel/tire fitment, and offer at least two different levels of "rumble-rated" exhaust note to complement its performance persona.
Given the obvious honeycomb background motif that dominates the concept’s exterior illustration and the ersatz bee visible on its automatic transmission controller, there’s some reason to believe this raucous new Ram also may resurrect the "Rumble Bee" name, which previously was used on a limited-edition then-Dodge Ram 1500 variant in 2004-2005. We’ll have to wait until Saturday to see if that turns out to be the case.
