Ram Introduces “Built to Serve” Firefighter Edition

Nothing says firefighter like a big red truck. Ram will honor America’s firefighters with exactly that this year.

The company has launched the first of its 2022 Built to Serve models – a tribute to firefighters in glossy red steel.

Last year, Ram launched its Built to Serve series with multiple 2021 special editions, one each honoring the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard (Space Force was too new to make the cut, we suppose). The theme is back for 2022, but this time, it’s America’s first responders getting recognition.

The first of the batch is the Ram 1500 Firefighter Edition. Ram says this is a limited edition, though it hasn’t said how many will be built. It carries a starting price of $46,625, plus a $1,795 destination. It reaches sales lots this spring.

The Ram 1500 Firefighter Edition is available in a choice of Redline or Diamond Black paint. It wears a blackened grille and grille surround, black bumpers, and custom 20-inch wheels finished in Technical Gray. Inside, the truck features Built to Serve embroidered seats with orange accent stitching.

Further Built to Serve models will follow, honoring police and emergency medical workers. All of the trucks will be mechanically identical. Buyers can choose any body style or powertrain and get the full 4×4 Off-Road Group Package. It comes with all-terrain tires, electronic-locking rear axle, hill-descent control, tow hooks, and skid plates protecting the front suspension and fuel tank.

Anyone can buy the red fire truck. Ram offers a $500 discount to first responders on all its products.
