Having a little fun with its aging 370Z sports car, Nissan modified a convertible version with snow tracks to make it the ultimate downhill carver. Called the Nissan 370Zki, the vehicle is lifted and had its conventional wheels replaced by tracks from a company calls American Track Truck, Inc.
The conversion involved removing the drivetrain and lifting the body three inches to accommodate the new suspension, front skis and rear tracks. The skis are a foot wide and 56-inches long, while the rear tracks are 15-inches wide and 48 inches long. The 3.7-liter V6 engine, once returned to the bay, remains stock, producing 322 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque.

Complementing the transition to snow mobile is the custom body wrap and headlamp lenses that were tinted yellow to resemble ski goggles.
“The Nissan 370Zki continues our recent tradition of bringing imaginative winter vehicle concepts to the Chicago Auto Show,” said Michael Bunce, product planning vice president for Nissan. “With the Nissan Z’s long heritage of motorsports competition, the 370Zki seemed like a natural combination. Prior to its debut here in Chicago, we put the 370Zki through its paces on the slopes in Wyoming where its performance heritage really came through.”
