Set to slot below the existing CLA-Class, the new A-Class Concept looked sharp when it was unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show. Slightly shorter than the CLA-Class, the A-class is wider and sleeker. However, the key to its success in this market will be an aggressive pricing point, which could start below $30,000 in base form.

Presented as the most radical take on the AMG GT to date the 4-door AMG GT Concept pushes the limits even further, with Gordon Wagener, Chief Design Officer, Daimler AG saying the potent hybrid “embodies the most extreme expression of our design idiom and underlines the autonomous profile of AMG as a performance brand" when it was unveiled in Geneva. While there are no hard details on the production model, the show car’s Formula One-derived gas/electric powertrain makes 805 horses and is mated to an advanced take on M-B’s 4Matic AWD system. Coupling that with edgy styling and a cabin rich in creature comforts, the volume-build model is potentially a solid rival to cars like the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe and Porsche Panamera.
