Mercedes Recalls S-Class Over Brake Hose Leak

2024 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class

Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for 20,339 S-Class sedans from model years 2021 through 2023, including some Maybach models, because their front brake hoses may rupture and leak. That can lead to reduced braking performance, increasing the risk of a crash.

The company tells federal safety regulators that the hoses “might not meet durability specifications,” especially in cars kept in hot, humid environments.

Dealers will correct the problem by replacing the hoses.

By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs. Manufacturers attempt to contact every owner but don’t always reach them all with the news. Find out if your car needs any critical safety repairs at our recall center.
