Kia Concept Teased

Kia Motors has confirmed it will unveil a new, yet-unnamed concept vehicle at the Frankfurt auto show it calls an “extended hot hatch.” Created at the automaker’s design center in Frankfurt and aimed at consumers in the European market, it reportedly depicts “a bold vision” of what at least one member of Kia’s next-gen Cee’d lineup–a cousin of the Forte sold here–could look like.

While offering no details on the mechanicals, Kia noted the basic design of this production-possible one-off was “reworked and reimagined for a new generation of driver.” Adroitly mixing style with practicality, it has the kind of expressive visual character that American buyers looking for an affordable vehicle with those basic qualities might find equally appealing.
