Key Changes/Improvements: Only slight revisions are in store for the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They include enhanced fuel economy, electric power steering, and a 5-horsepower increase in 3.6-liter V6 models (to 295). The high-performance Grand Cherokee SRT receives a new instrument-panel gauge cluster and drive modes. Also, V8 Grand Cherokees are now only offered in 4-wheel drive.
Key Changes/Improvements: This year, the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT gets an additional 5 horsepower for a total of 475. The SRT and the luxurious Summit model receive Active Noise Cancellation, giving the cabin a much-needed dose of sophistication. There’s also a new California Edition package available for Summit models.
Key Changes/Improvements: Noteworthy revisions for the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee include a new fuel-efficient EcoDiesel engine, a standard 8-speed automatic transmission for every powertrain, freshened exterior styling, and next-generation infotainment. Also new to the roster is a premium Summit model grade, refreshed interior colors, and a Forward Collision Warning system that alerts the driver to potential collisions.
Key Changes/Improvements: For 2013, the Overland Summit models gain Front Park Assist, power-folding mirrors, headlamp washers and a new black Nappa leather interior option. Also new is the Trailhawk model that includes the Selec-Terrain system, Quadra-Lift air suspension, Goodyear Silent Armor off-road tires and rock-rail body protection.
Key Changes/Improvements: Given the very big changes made in 2011, this is a year of tweaking a “still new” redesign. V6 models receive an electrohydraulic power steering system, while the V8’s automatic transmission now provides six speeds when shifted in manual mode. And the HEMI-equipped SRT8 is revived, with 6.4 liters and 470 horsepower of urge.
Key Changes/Improvements: Big changes for 2011 on the Jeep Grand Cherokee include improved interior space, an all-new V6 engine, an updated V8 engine and enhanced four-wheel-drive systems. Jeep has also added a host of optional features not previously seen on the Grand Cherokee, including adaptive cruise control, a power rear liftgate and a blind-spot warning system.
