Jaguar Recalls XE Sedans Over Backup Camera

Jaguar has issued a recall for 5,329 XE sedans from model years 2019 and 2020 because their backup cameras can fail.

The company tells federal safety regulators that wires used to power the camera are now “not considered to be durable for the life of the vehicle.” Some customers have reported cable damage from regular operation after just five years.

So, dealers will inspect the camera cable and repair or replace it if necessary.

By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs.

Carmakers try to notify the owners of recalled vehicles, but those efforts aren’t always 100% effective. To check if your car is part of a recall, try our easy VIN check tool in our recall center.
