Honda has confirmed it will bring a wide variety of interesting product to the upcoming Tokyo Auto Show, with the two designated marquee vehicles being the S660 Concept and a production version of the Urban SUV Concept that was presented last January in Detroit. In addition to several vintage Hondas, including its first ever sports model — the petite S500 — and its first Formula One racer, the automaker also will give the home crowd its initial in-person look at the latest NSX Concept.

Drawing a good deal of its exterior and interior styling influences from the EV-STER Concept that debuted at the last Tokyo exhibition in 2011, the Honda S660 Concept looks to be virtually production ready. While the firm offered no details about its powertrain, the roadster’s diminutive “Kei-car” scale and “660” designation point to the likelihood that a turbocharged 3-cylinder engine will be motivativating this futuristic 2-seat “open-top sports-type mini-vehicle.”

Providing no images of its upcoming compact crossover, the volume-build version is expected to share much of design vision presented in the Urban SUV Concept pictured here. Although Honda has yet to reveal its name, this upcoming member of the family will be based on the Global Compact Series platform architecture that also underpins the Fit and be powered by one of the automaker’s new “Earth Dreams” engines. Slotting neatly between Fit and CR-V, this stylish people mover will go on sale in Japan by the end of the year and arrive in U.S. showrooms sometime in 2014.
