Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC are recalling about 15,000 large SUVs from the 2021 model year to correct a problem that could cause their engines to stall. The campaign covers some, but not all, 2021 Cadillac Escalade, Cadillac Escalade ESV, Chevy Suburban, Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and GMC Yukon XL SUVs.
The vehicles may have a faulty electronic control module attached to their fuel pumps. A defective control module could interrupt fuel flow to the engine and cause intermittent stalling. Dealers will replace the control module free of charge.
This recall affects some vehicles that are still for sale. If you’re awaiting delivery of one of these full-size SUVs, it might be delayed while the dealership awaits replacement parts. Dealers will perform the repair before delivering the vehicle.
Recall repairs are always free. Manufacturers try to reach every owner to notify them of a recall, but inevitably some slip through the cracks. Find out whether your car is eligible for any free safety repairs at our recall center.
