Genesis Recalls 32,000 Over Blank Displays

Genesis has issued a recall for 32,594 vehicles because the driver’s instrument screens can flicker or go blank.

Recalled models include some, but not all, examples of the:

The company tells federal safety regulators that a software problem can cause the screen to flicker or fall dark, leaving drivers unable to see their speed and critical safety warnings.

Dealers will fix the problem with a software update. These vehicles don’t receive updates over the air, so owners will need to bring them into the dealership to have the download installed. Software updates are typically quick service appointments.

Recall repairs are always free.
