On display next week at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, the Acura TLX GT Package is a new dedicated accessory group that helps celebrate the TLX’s first year of competition in the Pirelli World Challenge racing series as well as Acura’s ongoing success in various other motorsport endeavors. Together, the efforts have earned the automaker 10 Manufacturer Championships and brought individual titles to 14 drivers.
Tasteful and modestly functional, the new GT Package is available on all 2016 and 2017 TLX models. The basic GT kit runs $1,717 compared to $2,029 if the parts were purchased separately and consists of a front splitter, rear decklid spoiler, aero side-sill garnishes plus a rear underbody spoiler. Buyers also can opt for a wheel/tire upfit that nets unique 19-inch Diamond Cut alloy wheels wrapped in sticky 245/40 Michelin summer performance tires, a choice that adds $3,093 to the total but reflects an $899 savings.
