Bowing at the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the 2017 Hyundai Tucson Night adds a bit of edge to the automaker’s 5-passenger compact crossover SUV. Available in Coliseum Gray, Caribbean Blue, Dazzling White and Black Noir Pearl, the Tucson Night’s features a panoramic sunroof with black-tinted glass, a set of black-finish 19-inch RAYS lightweight alloy wheels and gloss black mirror caps. Inside, the cabin features a perforated leather-covered steering wheel, front/rear LED map lights and aluminum sport pedals.

Like the front-drive Tucson Sport on which it’s based, the new Night edition comes with a 175-horspower/1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine backed by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Other standard features include Hyundai’s Drive Mode Select, a hands-free Smart Liftgate, power driver’s seat and Proximity Key with push button start as well as Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist systems. The 2017 Hyundai Tucson Night is set to arrive in dealer showrooms late this year. Pricing will be released closer to the actual on-sale date.
