Ford and its Lincoln luxury division have recalled 30,715 vehicles because their rearview cameras may show a blank or distorted image.
Recalled models include some, but not all, examples of the:
- 2019 Ford Fiesta
- 2019 Ford Flex
- 2019 Lincoln MKT
The company is still investigating the cause, so it hasn’t explained how it will remedy the problem. Problems with backup cameras are common. The solution sometimes involves replacing the camera, though occasionally automakers can fix one component of it.
