Although providing no details, Fisker Automotive has released this preliminary sketch of the first vehicle it plans to build off of its new Project NINA platform. Expected to cost around $50,000 — roughly half of what the firm’s flagship Karma commands — this mid-size family sedan it slated to go into production towards the end of this year at a former GM assembly plant in Wilmington, Delaware. While little more about the car has been confirmed, it’s expected to match a primary electric powertrain with a four-cylinder range-extending BMW gasoline engine and will likely to get a new name as part of the transition from concept to reality. Company principal Henrik Fisker plans to offer additional details on the vehicle in early April, although at this point, it’s still uncertain whether a Project NINA Concept will or won’t appear at the New York Auto Show.
