Electric Jeep Wagoneer S Coming May 30

Jeep will introduce a new product to the brand on May 30: a high-performance midsize electric SUV designed primarily for paved roads.

Enthusiasts have known about the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S since 2022. It’s one of two Jeep electric vehicles (EVs) headed for dealerships soon. The Recon is closer to what you probably imagine when you hear the name Jeep — a squared-off off-roader with removable doors. The Recon may have a hybrid powertrain option.

The Wagoneer S will likely have some off-road skills (it is a Jeep, after all), but it’s more like an electric version of the now-retired Grand Cherokee Trackhawk than a Wrangler cousin. Jeep has promised around 600 horsepower and a zero-to-60 time of 3.5 seconds.

This week, the company released a video teasing the car but offering little new information. It promises a range of over 300 miles and delights in showing the EV outrun what appears to be a Tesla Model Y Performance.

But the video has one new piece of information — a May 30 reveal date — so we won’t have to wait long for more.
