Dodge Adds HEMI Orange and SRT Black Packages for Challenger and Charger

Halloween is almost here. You need a seasonally appropriate muscle car.

Dodge, the Stellantis-owned brand best known for big V8 engines, is rolling out two new trim packages for its muscular 2022 Challenger coupe and Charger sedan.

SRT Black

The SRT Black package follows a theme many automakers have embraced this year, with blacked-out exterior features (there’s even a Toyota Prius Nightshade Edition). It’s available only on the SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye models of both Challenger and Charger. It features glossy black badges, wheels, and black nickel exhaust tips.

The SRT Black package will cost $695, and be available in the fourth quarter at Dodge dealers.

HEMI Orange

The HEMI Orange appearance package is a tribute to the orange-painted HEMI engines that made the Dodge name in the early muscle car era.

Dodge offers the package on GT rear-drive and Scat Pack Widebody models for both the Charger and Challenger. It adds an orange accent stripe to the gunmetal stripes those cars already wear. Orange outlines surround the badges, and on Scat Pack Widebody models, orange Brembo brake calipers shine through carbon black wheels.

The HEMI Orange package adds $1,500 to the price of Scat Back Widebody cars. It’s a $2,995 add-on to GT RWD models but includes all the equipment from the performance handling package.

Inside, the package adds orange contrast-color stitching to the seats and interior trim, as well as black trim on the steering wheel bezels and shifter.
