Now that production of the seventh-generation Corvette Stingray is fully under way, Chevrolet has announced that it will once again start conducting tours of the car’s newly updated assembly facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Public visits were suspended a year ago when the plant underwent a comprehensive $131 million remake to accommodate more stringent build requirements of the all-new "C7" model. Conducted from three times a day, Monday through Friday, the tours will cost $7 per person and include a one-mile walk along the Corvette assembly line. They’ve been part of the Bowling Green plant’s historic heritage since it opened in 1981 and became the sole source point for America’s original sports car. More information on the tours can be found at www.corvetteassembly.com.

There’s good news for Corvette buyers, as well as several popular customer-focused programs also are being resumed. Administered by the National Corvette Museum located adjacent to the production facility, they include Museum Delivery complete with a private tour and vehicle presentation in the museum’s showroom, an enhanced Buyers Tour that allows the new owner to watch their specific Corvette being built and gain access to otherwise restricted areas, and a Corvette Photo Album that fully documents the assembly process of the customer’s car in words and pictures. Complete information on all three programs is available at www.corvettemuseum.org.
