Confirmed: Ford Bronco Raptor

If two words have gotten Ford enthusiasts excited in recent years, they are “Bronco” and “Raptor.”

If those words excite you, brace yourself.

We have some news about them.

Here it comes.

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor.

Want some details?

We do, too. Unfortunately, Ford hasn’t offered any. For now, all we have is a 16-second video, three seconds of which show an actual glimpse of the vehicle. It features a Bronco take on the F-150’s chunky black grille, complete with the oversize Ford logo. The Bronco’s signature round lights are also there, outlined in yellow like the F-150 Raptor’s.

The rest of the video is swirling dust and logos.

Ford sent it to journalists along with the brief text: “Ford Performance is excited to share a sneak peek of one of the Bronco special edition vehicles that will be available in 2022. More details will be shared later.”

Internet rumors say the Bronco Raptor will be offered only as a 4-door model and will take the place of a high-performance off-road version Ford once planned to call the Bronco Warthog. Because, presumably, a name that equates to “Ford Horse Bird” makes more sense than one that means “Ford Horse Pig.” Car names make no sense.

We’ll bring more when we have more to bring.
