Audi has confirmed a sleek Avant Concept wagon version of its Prologue Concept Coupe will be unveiled next month in Geneva. Previewing the character of upcoming estate models, it has the same kind of dynamic exterior cues design chief Marc Lichte confirmed will be found in all future Audis, starting with the new A8 due next year. Based on the initial sketches, the new Avant Concept also shares the Prologue’s streamlined cabin and seating for four while offering more passenger and cargo space.

Audi offered no information about the powertrain in the Prologue Avant Concept, but based on prominent bright exhaust outlets that frame its rear lower valance panel we anticipate few changes on the motivation front. The Prologue Coupe debuted in Los Angeles last fall with a 605-horsepower/4.0-liter turbocharged V8 paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sent drive to all four wheels via Audi’s latest Quattro system. However, an autonomous-drive version of the car that turned up at the 2015 CES show in January added an electric motor between the engine and transmission that boosted total system output to 667 horses. On March 3rd, we’ll know whether that hybrid up-fit also transfers to the Avant Concept.
