Alfa Romeo is a storied Italian car brand now owned by a multinational conglomerate headquartered in the Netherlands but with much of its operations governed out of Detroit, Michigan. It must be a little much to take, sometimes, over a cappuccino in Milan.
So the company has released its “first global limited-edition series” – a tribute to Italy.
The brand will offer its U.S. lineup – the Giulia sedan and Stelvio and Tonale SUVs – in 2024 Tributo Italiano editions.
The special editions come in the colors of the Italian flag – red, white, and green – with black roofs.
The Italian flag appears on the mirror caps in subtle strakes above integrated turn signals. Normally black body cladding appears in body color instead on the wheel arches and side skirts.
Inside, they get black leather sport seats with “perforations with hints of red.” Red stitching appears on the dashboard, seats, and door panels. Italian flag logos adorn the headrests, along with the words “Tributo Italiano” in black embroidery.
Alfa Romeo hasn’t provided any pricing information. But the company says the tribute models will sit “at the top of their respective trim levels,” so we expect patriottismo to have a price.
“Occupant comfort in Tributo Italiano edition is also ensured by the dual-zone air conditioning, heated steering wheel with aluminum shift paddles built into the steering column, ambient lighting, intuitive infotainment system, ventilated and heated front seats, and a premium sound system equipped with 14 speakers by Harman Kardon, including a subwoofer,” the company says.
They will arrive in North American showrooms in the second quarter of 2024.
