Acura Recalls Electric ZDX Over Power Loss

2024 Acura ZDX in Snowfall Pearl

Acura has recalled 118 units of its new 2024 ZDX electric SUV because they can lose drive power.

The company tells federal safety officials that a front stabilizer bar may have been improperly fastened during assembly. If it comes loose, it can damage high-voltage cables and battery coolant lines.

“If the high voltage cable and/or EV battery coolant lines are sufficiently damaged, over time, the vehicle may shut off or become undriveable,” Acura says.

Drivers may hear a clunk or rattling sounds from the front passenger side of the vehicle as the bar loosens.

Dealers will fix the problem by inspecting the bar and tightening bolts if necessary. Recall repairs are always free.

Carmakers try to notify the owners of recalled vehicles, but those efforts aren’t always 100% effective. To check if your car is part of a recall, try our easy VIN check tool in our recall center.
