Acura Precision Concept teased

Acura has released an early glimpse of a new show car set for the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The Precision Concept signals a “stronger and sharper focus of Acura styling on our core DNA,” noted Dave Marek, Acura’s global creative director. “It is our intention to more strongly express performance through design and the Acura Precision Concept will serve as the inspiration for the styling and proportion of the next-generation of Acura vehicles, especially for our sedans.”

Penned at the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles, California, the Precision Concept displays a far bolder character than we’ve seen in any previous 4-door Acura. From its slim LED infused headlamps and long hood to edgy character lines and bold C-pillar treatment, this daring one-off displays some much-needed visual intensity that hopefully will be complemented by a powertrain capable of delivering an equal measure of enthusiast-grade performance. The concept is rumored to test new styling themes for the next Acura RLX flagship sedan.
