Nissan’s Rogue small SUV is known for sharp looks, excellent fuel economy, and exceptionally comfortable seats. It’s a good family car and commuter mobile. But it’s generally not an SUV you expect to see on the trail.
Nissan would like to change that. For 2025, the Rogue is going hiking.
Nissan has not announced prices for the 2025 Rogue. The current model starts at $30,240, including the mandatory $1,390 delivery fee.
Nissan’s best-selling product by a considerable distance, the Rogue received a makeover for the 2024 model year. But many automakers have been producing more rugged, off-road-oriented versions of their sport utility vehicles in recent years.
Nissan is calling its trail-ready models Rock Creek editions. For 2023, the midsize Pathfinder got the Rock Creek treatment. For 2025, the badge comes to the Rogue.
The 2025 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek edition gets a grille fronted with lots of gloss black, and a low-mounted faux brush guard accent in matte to protect all that gloss from scratches. Badges wear new Lava Red. A standard tubular roof rack is black but carries Lava Red accents, too.
It’s not all for show. Falken Wild Peak all-terrain tires should help this Rogue tackle tougher terrain. A standard 360-degree monitor helps you navigate trail obstacles.
Inside, leatherette seating resists water (read: mud, hopefully). Standard heated front seats get contrast-color stitching in Lava Red.
Changes Coming To Other Rogue Models
All 2025 Rogue models, Rock Creek or not, now have the option of Nissan’s ProPilot Assist 2.1 system, which “allows attentive drivers to take their hands off the steering wheel in single-lane freeway operation.”
A new Technology Package available on the Rogue SL and Platinum trim levels includes enhanced camera views. Front Wide View, Nissan says, “provides a 176-degree view, ideal for ‘seeing around’ pillars in garages or parked cars on the street.” Invisible Hood View “uses advanced image processing to take footage from the vehicle’s exterior cameras to project a view of the roadway under the engine bay to help with avoiding curbs, placing the vehicle’s wheels in a car wash track, and other tricky situations.”
The 2025 Nissan Rogue is set to arrive at dealerships later this summer.
