2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 43 Starts at $107,050

The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 43 seen in profile

Engineers at Mercedes’ AMG high-performance division have been working forbidden black magic on 4-cylinder engines lately. In the process, they’re bringing sky-high prices down but keeping performance high.

Case in point – the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe will get a 4-cylinder variant for 2025. Until now, AMG has offered it only with a choice of two V8s. The half-size engine, however, produces an eye-popping 416 horsepower – just 53 less than the weaker of the two 8-cylinder options.

The new 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 43 will start at $107,050, including the mandatory $1,150 delivery fee. It arrives at dealerships this fall. We don’t have 2025 pricing on the AMG GT 55 and GT 63 models yet, but 2024 models start at $138,700 and $180,200, respectively. So, the slight reduction in power brings about a Honda Accord’s worth of savings.

AMG gets so much power from a 4-cylinder by fitting it with an electric exhaust gas turbocharger, which “enables immediate throttle response across the entire rpm range and acceleration from zero-to-60 mph in 4.5 seconds,” Mercedes says.

The GT 43 comes only in rear-wheel drive (RWD), with the option of an AMG Ride Control suspension with adjustable damping.

“Three optional exterior design packages – AMG Night Package, AMG Extended Night Package, and AMG Exterior Chrome Package – sharpen the look of the coupe with high gloss black, dark chrome, or silver chrome accents,” the company says.
