2025 Lexus GX Sees Price Bump, New Off-Road Kit

The 2024 Lexus GX seen in profile

The Lexus GX was one of our favorite new vehicles of 2024. Lexus could get away with not updating the GX for 2025. But the company has some improvements on the way, anyway.

Still a New Sight on the Road

Lexus gave its big off-roader a much-needed redesign for the last model year, and the results were stunning.

It looked like a serious safari machine, rode around town in luxury, and could tackle trails with a stiffer chassis and among the best approach and departure angles available in such a large SUV. A twin-turbo V6 gave it plenty of power with (slightly) better fuel economy than the V8 of the old model.

New Overtrail and Overtrail+ trim levels upped the off-road ante with trick sway bars that relaxed when needed. That way, you don’t have to choose when to disconnect them for flexibility or leave them intact for ride control – the vehicle always makes the right choice.

New Standard Equipment for All, Ride Height Lift for Some

For 2025, every GX will get memory settings for the driver’s preferred ergonomics – the mirrors, seat, and steering column will all adjust to match. A power-adjustable steering column is now standard on every trim level.

Overtrail and Overtrail+ models get a new one-inch suspension lift added to their already impressive ground clearance.
