Reviewers praise the Infiniti QX60 for its smooth ride quality and a long list of standard features. Its engine has long come in for neither praise nor criticism. The V6 that has powered the QX60 since its 2022 redesign is adequate and quiet. It rarely wins much comment beyond that.
So, for 2025, Infiniti is trying something different. They’ve replaced the V6 with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The move should give the QX60 better fuel economy and may provide the big car a bit more zip at around-town speeds.
The new engine is technically less powerful than the mill it replaces. The old V6 put out 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. The new 4-cylinder makes 268 hp but produces more torque – 286 lb-ft.
Coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission, Infiniti says it “ensures confident acceleration optimized for daily driving.” The old model could be a bit sluggish pulling away from a stoplight, so a low-speed torque increase could be the refinement the QX60 needed. It also results in about a 10% improvement in fuel economy.
Front-wheel drive (FWD) models now earn an EPA rating of 28 mpg highway, 22 mpg city, and 24 mpg combined, while all-wheel drive (AWD) models get 27/22/24 mpg.
Other changes for the new model year include a new keyfob. The vehicle will unlock as you approach it with the key and lock as you walk away. A new Black Edition package matches the equipment of the Luxe trim but adds gloss black 20-inch wheels, gloss black roof rails, and gloss black on both the grille surround and exterior emblems.

All manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) include the mandatory $1,350 destination charge. The Pure, Luxe, and Sensory trim levels are standard in FWD but can be ordered with AWD for an additional $2,000. The Autograph trim comes only in AWD.
