2025 Dodge Durango Hellcat Hammerhead: Sleeper Power

The 2025 Dodge Durango Hellcat Hammerhead looks like a fairly typical 3-row SUV from the outside. But, under the surface, it can get fierce. As in, 710 horsepower fierce.

Dodge is spending 2025 rolling out a series of “Last Call” special editions of the Durango. 2025 isn’t the last call for the Durango itself. It’s the last call for a Durango powered by a Hemi V8 engine. The SUV will continue into the 2026 model year, but only with a choice of two inline-6-cylinder engines.

To say goodbye, Dodge is building several limited-edition Durango models. To date, we’ve seen the yellow-accented 391 AlcHEMI, the gunmetal gray 20th Anniversary model, and the Silver Bullet with gorgeous garnet leather seats.

The Hammerhead joins the list with subtlety. It foregoes flashy painted brake calipers and shouty custom wheels for a buttoned-down look. It comes painted in a deep blue Dodge calls Night Moves, because you can’t go wrong with Bob Seger references in Detroit. The hood is Satin Black.

Inside, the Hammerhead wears Grey Laguna leather upholstery with the SRT Hellcat logo embroidered on the seats in Sepia. Silver and Sepia stitching throughout and carbon fiber trim add to the cool, muted palette.

Under the hood, though, sits the beastliest version of the Hemi – a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 making 710 hp. Dodge says the Hammerhead gets to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds – a shocking number for such a big vehicle. Top speed is limited to 180 mph.

It carries a sticker price of $115,315 (including a mandatory $1,595 destination charge). But it qualifies for the Dodge Power Dollars program, giving customers a $10-per-horsepower discount over base model engines.

A final note – Dodge doesn’t take orders for its Last Call editions. Instead, it allocates them to dealers and lets buyers find them with the “horsepower locator” tool on the DodgeGarage website.
