The Ram 1500 is America’s third best-selling vehicle most months. Trailing only two other domestic full-size trucks, the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado, it meets the daily needs of millions. The Ram 1500 is the flagship product of Stellantis, which also builds vehicles from Dodge, Jeep, and several other brands.
But the Ram was last redesigned for the 2019 model year, which will soon make it the oldest design of the three trucks.
So, new Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis promises an update is on the way, according to the Detroit News. The truck “will be getting a refresh to launch in the first quarter of next year,” the newspaper reports. The refreshed truck could make its first appearance at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
2024 trucks will be rolling onto dealer lots even as Ram builds excitement for the 2025 refresh. The 2024 models get few changes from the 2023 version.
New gear includes a tailgate-ajar warning lamp, standard at every trim level.
The Ram 1500 Tradesman Warlock gets an electronic rear-locking differential, skid plates, a 1-inch raised ride height, 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, and Bilstein front and rear performance-tuned shock absorbers.
And the mighty TRX gets a goodbye edition. The 702-horsepower apex predator of trucks will disappear after the 2024 model year but is destined to return. It may come back as a high-powered edition of the 2025 Ram 1500 REV electric pickup.
