The Mazda CX-30 is the athlete of the affordable subcompact SUV class. Sub-$25,000 cars have grown rare, and one with sporty handling and sharp good looks is even harder to find.
For 2024, the CX-30 will stay in that under-$25,000 category. But only on a technicality. The 2024 CX-30 will start at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $24,995, plus a mandatory $1,375 delivery fee.
The spritely little sport utility will get some interior upgrades to justify the price increase, though. Mazda added USB-C inputs on every CX-30 and a new 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality to upper trim levels.
Lower trim levels still get an 8.8-inch screen controlled by a “multifunction commander knob” in the touchscreen’s place.
A pair of new trims appear, making the CX-30 available in an unusual eight configurations. The new 2.5 S Select Sport includes aluminum roof rails, 18-inch black alloy wheels, leatherette seats, and an available, trim-exclusive Ceramic Metallic paint.
The new Carbon Turbo model pairs unique exterior traits like the Carbon Edition with the upgraded turbo engine. It comes in a trim-exclusive Zircon Sand exterior color with a black signature grille, wing, and side garnish. Inside are Terracotta leatherette and black suede seats. It gets the Skyactiv-G 2.5 Turbo 4-cylinder engine, which produces 227 horsepower with regular fuel and 250 with premium.
