2024 Cadillac Lyriq Gets New Trim Options, Colors

Cadillac’s first all-electric vehicle (EV), the Lyriq SUV, hit the market last year as a 2023 model. But initial sales were limited to a very well-equipped Debut Edition. Lyriq sales begin in earnest with the 2024 edition, which will have a full range of trims to choose from.

Cadillac has revealed the trim level structure and pricing for the 2024 Lyriq, though at the moment, shoppers can’t order the EV. A Cadillac order page still asks prospective buyers to sign up to be notified about availability.

The 2024 Lyriq, when orders do kick-off, will be offered in three trim levels.

The base model, called Tech, uses a single electric motor on the rear axle for rear-wheel-drive (RWD) dynamics and 340 horsepower. General Motors estimates its driving range at 308 miles, though the EPA hasn’t weighed in with an official figure yet. All-wheel drive (AWD) is optional. It adds a second motor on the front axle, bringing power to 500 horses. The Tech trim level has a fixed-glass roof that doesn’t open, a 7-speaker audio system, and seats upholstered in Cadillac’s Inteluxe faux leather.

The Luxury trim is exclusively AWD and adds upscale touches like lighted door handles, rain-sensing wipers, and the option of GM’s Super Cruise hands-free highway driving system. Cadillac divides into three sub-trims — Luxury 1, 2, and 3. A 19-speaker audio system appears at Luxury 2, while Luxury 3 also gets 3-zone climate control and the option of Nappa leather upholstery.

The Sport trim, also split three ways, carries the same equipment as the Luxury. But it adds a unique grille and obsidian exterior trim for a more upscale look.

Cadillac also showed off eight colors for the Lyriq, including several options with a contrast-color black roof.
