- Dodge hasn’t revealed pricing for these new special editions. We expect most Last Call editions to fall in the mid-$80,000 range.
Dodge is retiring both of its big rear-wheel-drive cars after the 2023 model year, but it’s celebrating them on their way out with seven special editions each. The company announced the second “Last Call” special edition for each car this morning — the Charger and Challenger Scat Pack Swingers.
Dodge executives have compared the release plan to a sneaker drop. Rather than letting buyers pre-order the cars, they will deliver them to dealerships for sale on a first-come, first-served basis. Shoppers can use the Dodge Garage website to track how many remain and find which dealerships have them.
Dodge will build 1,000 Charger Scat Pack Swingers and 1,000 Challenger Scat Pack Swingers.
They get no mechanical upgrades but plenty of eye-catching exterior changes.
The Challenger Scat Pack Swinger wears the signature two-nostril Shaker hood scoop. It comes in dark F8 Green or White Knuckle, with a bright Sublime Green stripe horizontal across the trunk. Badges and hood scoop are covered in a light gold shade Dodge calls Gold School.
Inside, a combination of Nappa leather and grippy Alcantara covers the seats, stitched in green.
The Charger Scat Pack Swinger comes in the same set of colors, but the hood scoop is a more subtle affair, lacking the Gold School coating.
The green editions follow a multi-striped Challenger Shakedown and a gloriously purple Charger Super Bee.
When they’re gone, they’re gone. Dodge sees its future in electric muscle cars — it recently took the wraps off a concept car meant to preview its new direction.
