The icon is back with the all-new 2023 Acura Integra and, for the first time ever, it’s being built in America. As the most affordable new Acura, the Integra is a premium compact 5-door liftback with a decidedly sporty flair. It’s also the only Acura with a real name instead of a 3-letter sequence ending in ‘X.’
Passenger Room and Comfort
Built on the same architecture as the Honda Civic, the new Integra predictably has great passenger ergonomics and plenty of space. Thin pillars make seeing out of the 2023 Integra easy for driver and passengers alike, giving the cabin an open feel. The rear seats offer the typical 60/40 split-folding arrangement and fold to make a handy cargo deck.
An A-Spec package adds sporty design flair, along with synthetic leather seating surfaces and simulated suede inserts.
Features and Tech
The 2023 Acura Integra is available in standard or A-Spec trim, with an available Technology Package, and a choice between a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and a 6-speed manual.
The base 2023 Integra starts from $30,800 and includes the 200-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and automatic transmission for EPA ratings of 30 mpg city, 37 mpg highway, and 33 mpg combined. A 3-mode chassis dynamics selector includes Comfort/Normal/Sport modes, and 17-inch alloy wheels are standard. A thorough AcuraWatch suite of active safety assist technologies is included, though with some extras reserved for the higher-trim models. A 7-inch touchscreen display and 10.2-inch digital instrument display are also standard, as is an Acura Premium Audio system with eight speakers. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Siri Eyes Free are also included.
Opting for the Integra A-Spec nets you a slightly quicker steering ratio, 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in slightly wider tires, an A-Spec interior and exterior Sport Appearance Package, LED fog lights, and a wider array of premium interior color choices.
The Technology Package for the Integra A-Spec model adds an adaptive damping system, parking sensors front and rear, rain-sensing wipers, a 9-inch touchscreen center display, a 5.3-inch head-up display (HUD), ELS Studio 3D Audio system with 16 speakers, SiriusXM and HD Radio, Qi wireless device charging, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, built-in Alexa and AcuraLink Connected, 12-way power front driver’s seat, 4-way power front passenger front seat, microsuede trim and exclusive stitching for the front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more.
The available 6-speed manual transmission is only offered in combination with the A-Spec trim and Technology Package.
Materials and Design
The 2023 Acura Integra’s exterior style is as unique as its 5-door liftback body style, with lots of visual interest and even a hint of a nod to iconic Integras of the past. The A-Spec package also adds some sporty flourishes to the design, with a lip spoiler, gloss black exterior details, and 18-inch Shark Gray alloy wheels.
Inside, the look is understated but elegant in the standard Integra. Opt for the A-Spec package and you’ll add red gauge needles, stainless steel pedals, contrast stitching, and more.
Cargo Room and Flexibility
With its liftback, 5-door body style, the 2023 Acura Integra offers a unique take on a sporty, premium compact vehicle.
Under that rear liftgate lies 24.3 cubic feet of cargo space, a substantial quantity compared to sedan alternatives, which typically top out around 15 cubic feet of cargo space in their trunks.
