If you’re shopping for a 2022 Mini Countryman, there’s a nicely-equipped special edition coming that could save you a bit of money.
The Countryman Boardwalk Edition will hit dealerships next month. It comes at an MSRP of $38,365 (for the front-wheel-drive version), or $40,365 (in all-wheel-drive), plus an $850 destination fee.
That price puts it near the high end of Countryman models. But it includes much the same equipment as the priciest Countryman, the Iconic trim, combined with the Premium package, for a lower price. Mechanically, the Boardwalk Edition is a Countryman S, carrying a twin-turbo 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine good for 192 horsepower.
The Boardwalk Edition looks sharp, in an exclusive shade of Deep Laguna Metallic – a color previously seen on the Mini Convertible Sidewalk Edition. The roof, power-folding mirrors, and 10-spoke wheels come in Piano Black. LED fog and headlights are standard.
Inside, it gets unique black Cross Punch leather and touchscreen navigation with real-time traffic updates. Other features include Apple Carplay and wireless charging. Heated front seats are standard, and Boardwalk Edition badges are found on the door sills.
