Most cars go up in price most years. The Infiniti QX50 is no exception. Infiniti’s compact luxury SUV is getting a minor price increase for the 2022 model year. But the new price tag comes along with a significant new set of features.
Even after the increases, the QX50 remains one of the least expensive options in our list of the Best Small Luxury SUVs.
New Prices
Infiniti also requires a $1,025 destination fee on all its cars.
Model | Increase | New MSRP |
QX50 Pure | $950 | $39,000 |
QX50 Luxe | $750 | $42,350 |
QX50 Essential | $2,000 | $46,800 |
QX50 Sensory | $1,400 | $54,500 |
QX50 Autograph | $0 | $56,950 |
Infiniti’s press release announcing the changes notes, “the 2022 Infiniti QX50 arrives in U.S. showrooms in late 2021.” So, presumably, you’ll see them rolling into dealerships momentarily.
The Updates
The new prices come with one big upgrade: Infiniti’s ProPilot Assist system is now standard across all trim levels. It adds intelligent cruise control, speed limit assist, and lane-centering technology to ease the driver’s workload.
Wireless Apple CarPlay is also standard across all trim levels for 2022 (Android Auto remains wired). The Infiniti Intelligent Key system, which detects the key approaching the car and unlocks doors at the touch of the handle, now works for rear doors as well as the front.
The Essential trim sees the biggest price jump but justifies it with added content. It gets heated and ventilated front seats, a 16-speaker Bose audio system, and a heated steering wheel. The Sensory model adds perforated leather seating, heated second-row seats, a power-adjustable passenger’s seat, and a motion-activated liftgate.
