2021 Subaru WRX, WRX STI Little Changed, Including Price

2021 Subaru STI and WRX

Few cars have a cult following as devoted as fans of Subaru’s compact performance sedans. The sporty WRX and even higher-performance WRX STI are mainstays of rally racing circuits with fanbases that love their growling attitude. But current editions are getting long in the tooth. Thankfully, they’re not getting more expensive.

For 2021, Subaru has added a proximity key with push-button start to the WRX Premium trim level, and…actually, that’s it. That’s the entire list of changes. The 2021 WRX and WRX STI are otherwise identical to the 2020 models of each car.

With so little change, prices remain almost completely the same. That Premium edition gets a $250 price bump to an MSRP of $30,970, but all other WRX models keep their pricing intact. WRX STI models also get a $250 bump, to a base price of $38,170 for the STI, and $42,870 for the top-of-the-line STI Limited.

Though changes for 2021 are insignificant, we do expect major changes for the 2022 model year. An all-new model is scheduled, and details are being kept tightly under wraps for now.
