The most exclusive version of the lovely 2021 Lexus LC500 coupe was designed by Lego Batman. OK, not quite. But he’d buy one.
For a fifth consecutive year, Lexus is building just 100 examples of a limited edition called the Inspiration Series. This year’s inspiration is black.
The coupe gets a mirror-finished obsidian black paint job with matching alloy wheels, along with a carbon fiber roof and rear wing. Inside, black leather covers most surfaces (Alcantara on the grippy sport seats), with saddle tan leather accents.
Mechanically, the car adds a limited-slip differential, an Active Cornering Assist system to slow the inner wheels in a turn, reducing understeer, and some minor weight reductions. The engine and suspension remain unchanged – just the same old, boring 471-horsepower V8 and 10-speed dual-clutch automatic.
No pricing yet, but last year’s Inspiration series cost $104,105.
