Toyota has unveiled a new, aesthetically aggressive option package for its popular 4Runner sport utility vehicle. Dubbed Nightshade, this special edition aims to “add mystique” to the 2019 Toyota 4Runner with the addition of darkened elements to the front and rear bumper fascias, outside mirrors and door handles, window moldings, rocker panels and other exterior bits. The 4Runner Nightshade model further stands out with black 20-inch wheels. Inside, it gets a similar treatment with darkened elements on the steering wheel, shift knob, inner door grips and more.
The new Nightshade package is available on 2019 4Runner Limited models, in either 4×2 or 4×4 form. The package is an extra $1,740 beyond the Limited’s $43,225 starting price, making the 4Runner Nightshade’s starting price $44,965, not including the $1,045 destination charge.

Like all models of Toyota’s off-road-oriented SUV, the 4Runner Limited in Nightshade trim is powered by a 4.0-liter V6 good for 270 horsepower. It is tied to a 5-speed automatic transmission. As with other Limited models, it is well equipped with features like leather seats, dual-zone climate control, JBL premium audio system, moonroof and push-button start. The 2019 Toyota 4Runner Limited Nightshade Edition is available for sale now in three exterior colors: Midnight Black Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic and Blizzard Pearl.
