Chicago is known for its winter weather and Nissan came prepared by displaying this one-off Armada outfitted to take on the worst Mother Nature has to offer. The 2018 Nissan Armada Snow Patrol features a 3-inch suspension lift, extreme off-road tires, massive front bumper to help push and pull things out of snow banks and a light bar and roof rack to complete the look.

The Snow Patrol conversion started with a complete suspension lift kit form Pro Comp, which not only provides greater ground clearance, but also allows the use of massive 35-inch tall Pro Comp MT2 maximum traction extreme off-road tires. The rubber is mounted on 20×9 inch Cognito Series 61 wheels and features a stain black milled finish.

The large front grill with its protector bar is also fitted with a 12,000-pound winch, M-1A running boards protect the sides and a roof-mounted light bar with LED spot and flood lights help illuminate the road ahead. A roof rack also adds additional cargo carrying capability.

“While the 2018 Armada drives like a luxury sedan, it has a long off-road heritage as the Nissan Patrol, a global expedition vehicle,” said Billy Hayes, division vice president of Nissan’s commercial vehicles and truck division. “As part of our celebration of winter at the Chicago Auto Show, we wanted to remind our growing family of Armada owners and enthusiasts that this full-size SUV stands ready to take you to the mountains, or at least safely through Chicago streets covered in lake effect snow.”

Equipped with either 2- or 4-wheel drive, the Armada can tow up to 8,500 pounds thanks to its 390-horsepower 5.6-liter V8 engine.
