While the wraps came off of the revised 2018 Maserati GranTurismo Coupe earlier this week on Wall Street, the automaker waited until today to unveil its al fresco running mate in England at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Like its closed counterpart, the 2018 GranTurismo Convertible features a bolder appearance with cues inspired by the Alfieri Concept as well as even greater levels of overall refinement and creature comfort.

The new GranTurismo Convertible will be offered in two trim grades: Sport and the slightly lighter MC — for Maserati Corse. Both share a naturally-aspirated 4.7-liter V8 engine designed and handcrafted by Ferrari. Making 454 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, the engine is paired with a 6-speed ZF automatic transmission. That combo is slated to serve up sub-5-second 0-60 mph times and top speeds in excess of 185 mph.

Like the GranTurismo Coupe, the plush, 4-passenger cabin of the GranTurismo Convertible gets a tasteful refresh that matches plush Poltrona Frau leather with aluminum trim. A new infotainment system features an 8.4-inch high-res capacitive-touch display, enhanced ergonomics, and integrated support for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay as well as a Harman-Kardon premium audio package.
