Ford announced that 2018 Mustang models fitted with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine will offer a new Pony Pack trim that includes a selection of cosmetic and functional tweaks.

Hearkening back to the Mustang’s early days, this latest Pony Pack will be highlighted by a unique grille-mounted pony-in-a-chrome-corral center badge, a motif that last appeared on the Mustang 50th Anniversary Package in 2015. Other exterior elements in the group include 19-inch polished alloy wheels, a tri-bar pony badge on the rear decklid applique and contrasting side stripes on the lower body panels as well as bright window and beltline trim on fastback models. Inside, the new Pony Pack brings premium carpeted floor mats with an ebony embroidered pony logo.

Unveiled in January, the updated and restyled 2018 Ford Mustang is slated to hit showrooms this fall and offer a host of new option packages to for both the EcoBoost and V8-powered GT models. Additional details and pricing will be released closer to the car’s actual on-sale date.
