Last year, Chevrolet introduced the Tahoe Custom, which took the Tahoe platform and removed the third row to add significant cargo space–a total of 54 cubic feet behind the second row and 112 cubic feet overall. This year, the automaker has taken that idea and added a splash of style. For 2018, the Tahoe Custom will be given Chevrolet’s Midnight Edition treatment. The Tahoe Custom Midnight Edition, based on the Tahoe LS, is all black and has off-road styling cues, such as 18-inch black wheels with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires and off-road side steps. In addition, the grille is black, as is the Chevy bowtie.

The Tahoe Custom Midnight Edition is powered by Chevy’s 5.3-liter V8, which puts out 355 horsepower. The model is offered with 2WD or 4WD, and comes with features including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity with wi-fi, Teen Driver, up to five USB ports and a 110-volt three-prong outlet, a rearview camera, and a tire pressure monitor including tire fill alert. When the 2018 Tahoe Custom Midnight goes on sale this spring, the MSRP will be $45,995 (including a $1,295 destination fee).
