Bolstering its profile among the full-size luxury sedans, the 2018 Cadillac XTS boasts a revamp that gives it a more sophisticated look, enhanced connectivity and improved dynamics. To once again be offered in standard guise with a 304-horsepower/3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 and the more enthusiast-oriented V-Sport with a 410-horse/3.6-liter twin-turbo V6, the changes bring Cadillac’s best-selling 4-door into closer alignment with the flagship CT6 Sedan.
Fine-tuning the formula
The most obvious revisions to the 2018 XTS involve restyled front and rear fascias that include a new grille and standard full LED headlamps and taillamps, recast fenders and a revised color palette as well as new 19-inch and 20-inch alloy wheels on the Luxury and Platinum trim grades.

The Magnetic Ride Control suspension has been revised to give both front-drive and all-wheel drive versions better compliance while tire tweaks help reduce road noise. The available Driver Awareness Package also adds several new features including low speed automatic braking, following distance indicators and lane change alert.
More cabin charm
Inside, the 2018 XTS complements its cut-and-sewn cabin leather upholstery with a new selection of trim elements across virtually all models. It also has redesigned front seats that offer better support and comfort while the rear bench offers a generous 40.0 inches of legroom. Additional sound insulation adds an extra measure of serenity.

On the connectivity front, the new XTS gets the next-gen Cadillac user experience that debuted on the 2017 CTS models. Based around an 8.0-inch multi-touch-sensitive LCD screen, it offers more intuitive control over all functions and adds things like in-vehicle apps via the new Collection apps store, simultaneous Bluetooth support for two individual smartphones, an all-new navigation app with access to destination information via cloud-based services. Due to arrive in showrooms later this year, pricing for the 2018 Cadillac XTS will be released closer to its on-sale date.
