Marking a half-century of building high performance Ford Mustangs, Shelby American has unveiled the 50th Anniversary Super Snake. Based on a 2017 Mustang GT, the latest iteration carries on the tradition of matching distinctive style with impressive performance. Working with the in-house team at Ford Performance, Shelby American crafted a street-legal package that offers up to 750 horsepower, can hit 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and pull 1.2g on the skidpad. Each will carry a Shelby serial number that’s documented in the official Shelby registry as well as an underhood plaque signed by that specific vehicle’s build group.
As always, the latest Super Snake features a full Shelby engineered body kit that includes the hood, grille, front splitter and side sills along with a rear spoiler, tail panel, diffuser and lower splitter. The car also has unique integrated LED fog/marker/turn-signal lamps set off with 20-inch black or polished forged alloy wheels and various 50th Anniversary logos. The cabin boasts custom gauges, door sill plates, more Anniversary logos on the seats and floor mats plus a dash plaque with the car’s serial number.
