Leveraging the popularity of its Color Studio personalization program, Nissan has created a high-profile limited edition of its cheeky Juke crossover specifically for the North America. Dubbed the Juke Black Pearl Edition, it resurrects a name first used on a distinctive low-volume 1978 Datsun 280Z model. Spun from the Juke SV model and offered in either front- or all-wheel drive configurations, Nissan will build only 1,250 vehicles with the Black Pearl Edition package. Of that number 1,000 are headed for U.S. showrooms and 250 destined for Canada.
As its name implies, this high-profile Juke sets off its Super Black exterior and 17-inch gloss-black alloy wheels with a selection of Pearl White accents and a Black Pearl badge on the rear fender. That same color combo is found inside where black cloth-covered seats – heated up front – are matched with white trim elements and contrast stitching. Like other Jukes, the Black Pearl Edition is motivated by a 188-horsepower/1.6-liter turbo 4-cylinder paired with Nissan’s Xtronic CVT automatic that features a manual mode that emulates seven virtual gear ratios.

Debuting at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the new Black Pearl Edition package adds $1,190 to the price of the 2017 Nissan Juke SV which starts at $23,490 in front-drive form or $25,340 when fitted with the AWD system, including $940 destination.
