Seeking to add more appeal to its compact sedan, Mitsubishi announced the 2017 Lancer Limited Edition model. Positioned just above the base Lancer ES on which it’s based, the new Limited Edition adds a selection of cosmetic and functional upgrades while maintaining its emphasis on value.

The key exterior enhancements to the Lancer Limited Edition include a power sunroof, 16-inch black-finish alloy wheels—a color also used to accent its roof, grille/fender garnishes and side mirrors—and an appropriate badge. Inside, the new Lancer LE boasts unique black cloth upholstery with red accent stitching, black headliner and pillar trim, gloss black accents, aluminum sport pedals and an upgraded 6.5-inch Display Audio System with Smartphone Link that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Available only in front-wheel drive, the new Lancer LE shares the same 148-horsepower, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine as the ES, backed by a CVT automatic transmission. Arriving in dealers later this month and on offer until the end of the model year, the 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer Limited Edition will start at $20,630.
