The all-new 2017 Kia Sportage will be rolling into showrooms in March starting at $23,885 for the front-drive Sportage LX, which is $750 more than the 2016 model. The mid-level Sportage EX will open at $26,395 and the top-line Sportage SX Turbo stickers at $33,395, increases of $150 and $2,510 respectively, however all versions of this compact crossover SUV now come with more standard features as well as upgraded comfort/convenience/safety options. Adding Kia’s Magna Dynamax intelligent AWD system that also includes a 50/50 locking center differential and torque vectoring along with a more off-road friendly front fascia adds another $1,500 to each of those figures.

Fitted with a 181-horsepower/2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine backed by a 6-speed automatic transmission, the 2017 Kia Sportage LX comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, a 5.0-inch touchscreen with Rear Camera Display and new Drive Mode Select that offers a choice of Normal/Eco/Sport settings. Key extras include an $1,000 Popular Package (heated front seats/outside mirrors, 10-way power driver seat with power lumbar support, premium cloth upholstery with anti-stain/odor/static treatment, roof rails) and a $900 Cool and Connected Package (upgrades to dual-zone auto climate control, new UVO 7.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone compatibility).

The Sportage EX complements the Cool and Connected features with leather seats, Push Button Start, Smart Key, 18-inch alloys, fog lights and gloss black exterior trim. A $1,900 Premium Package includes heated steering wheel, power-folding mirrors, panoramic sunroof, LED interior lighting, auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink, mirror-integrated LED turn signals and Blind Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.  A $2,700 Technology Package has UVO 8.0-inch touchscreen with navigation, 320-watt Harman Kardon premium audio, ventilated front seats, 8-way power passenger seat, Front/Rear Parking Assist, Smart Power Liftgate, Lane Departure Warning System, High Beam Assist, Front Collision Warning System, Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection.

Topping the range is the enthusiast-oriented Sportage SX Turbo packing a 240-horsepower/2.0-liter turbocharged engine. It has all the features in the EX Technology Package with a sport-tuned suspension, bigger front brakes, 19-inch alloys, corner-following bi-xenon HID headlamps and unique exterior trim. Inside, it boasts its own color and accent elements, a flat-bottom steering wheel with shifter paddles, metal sport pedals/sill plates and a 4.2-inch color LCD instrument cluster.
